Development Nepal
Development Nepal is a steadily growing web-based journal that aims at disseminating researches, opinions and experience which have a “development” and Nepal focus. Currently limited on the web, it aims to grow gradually to an interactive forum for researchers and practitioners engaged in Nepal’s development, both online and offline. Since its launching in 2002, twenty issues of Development Nepal have been published covering a wide range of work such as thesis, dissertations, interviews, articles and field based researches. Needless to mention there are hundreds of Nepal focused researches being conducted—both inside and outside of Universities around the world, that need to be shared.
What is Development Nepal for?
Development Nepal’s current aims are: (1) disseminating outcomes of these researches and (2) bringing together interested researchers to share their work on Nepal to a larger audience. In future, Development Nepal also plans to help improve the quality of social science research performed by graduate students in Nepal. Further, it will also attempt for collaboration/networking between professionals and researchers working in the field of social and developmental issues in Nepal. Development Nepal will thus continue to grow as a repository for Nepal focused social and developmental researches as well as form a loose network of interested practitioners and researchers.
